Contemporary dietary wisdom has been preaching to us a one size fits all diet that is sure to make you lose weight and correct all that ails you. A new book or weight loss center pops up monthly that trys to convince us that their method is the definitive solution. What all these approaches, diets, specialists, nutritionists, have failed to realize is that we as individuals have a unique genetic makeup…after all, America is known as the “melting pot” of the world. It is absurd to think that a “one size fits all” approach to weight loss and health could apply to one of the most herogeneous populations on earth! How many of these approaches ever have taken the time to analyze your unique biochemical makeup, how your body actually processes nutrients and what ratios of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates will optimally fuel your body? If you are still struggling with weight loss, maintenance, and less than optimal health, or these common symptoms:
- Food Cravings
- Fatigue or lack of energy
- Brain fog or lack of concentration
- Mood swings
- Anger, irritability, anxiety, depression
- Still hungry even though you’re physically full
Then most likely the resounding answer is NO!
Playing Dietary Roulette?
What’s missing from the conventional view of nutrition and diet is your unique genetic blueprint. The results of your Metabolic Typing Analysis gives specific information as to what systmes dominate your metabolism and the types of “fuel”…proteins, carbohydrates, and fats that your unique body makeup requires for produciing the energy that runs your body. The diets will vary according to your type. One person may thrive on grains, fruits, vegetables, and low fat protein, another may thrive on dark meat, eggs, liberal amounts of good fat, with only non starchy vegetables, while another may be a blend of both. After all, Eskimos consumed high fat, high protein diets having acclimated genetically to their environment compared to the vegetarian East Indian, both of which enjoyed good health. It is virtually impossible to assign one way of eating to such a genetically varied population as ours is in the United States! One diet may lower cholesterol for one and raise it for another, bring about weight loss for one, and weight gain for another, optimal health for one , and decline for another. Get the picture? Stop playing diet roulette and find your unique plan that’s based on your genetic type.
